What is your current setup, if any, to bring your dog around? I just have a car seat cover on my second row so my pup has all that room and to keep my seats protected. I've wondered about getting a bed cap and putting a dog crate back there but I like keeping my dog comfortable and chill in the back seat. Just curious, thanks!

If you like your dog why exiling to the unconditioned (air/heat) bed? If the hair is an issue or wife wants no part of dog then do what you must but the dog will wonder why did I get kicked out to the “dog house in the truck”

Me three on the back seat hammock style. Got mine on Amazon for about $40 bucks. It's just as good if not better than the $100 one I was considering from Duluth Trading Co.

I'm on my third now - I switch and upgrade every couple of years because I'm rough on them. After every three-dog-weekend it gets a pass with the shop vac and tossed in the washer.

They're cheap, a two year lifespan is doing pretty good for simple interior protection.

I use back seat covers. I used to use a hammock style, but it tore toward the front. The seat covers work great and I of course buckle them in on trips to ensure their safety.

We don't bring the dog around unless absolutely necessary. I think I have the only dog on the planet that hates car rides. Lord knows we've tried.

Our Border Collie rides in back seat with a Kurgo Dog Hammock/cover. He goes with us on most rides. I have Carhart covers all around under the Kurgo cover. This cover seems sturdier than most.

If you don’t need the back seat, a rear seat delete is my vote.C911FC2E-6B8A-4DAE-98F7-8406DE5F354D.jpg

Is this the platform you were thinking of?
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...r-double-cab-tacomas-full-half-length.707145/

The wood platform is incredibly easy to build, if you have the plywood cut to size at the store the only tool you need besides a screw driver is something that can cut the holes for the seatback locking brackets

Yep I believe that that is the one. Agreed on DIY before buying. Cool to see stuff like this being made though.

Just build your own. I maybe have 100 dollars into mine, wood, foam, and marine vinyl.

My boy gets the rear seat of my double cab. I have a dog seat cover.
My wife also has one in her Subaru.
We don’t use the hammock style because we have the grandkids every weekend.
We also have center arm rest covers.
I have drivers seat cover to protect my seat also. Passenger seat covers I got for Xmas if you leave him in the vehicle and go in a store he’s either standing on center arm rest or in passengers seat waiting and watching for us.
    My boy
