Twetters for 05 tacoma

Would anybody happen to know the size of the tweeters that are in a 05 Tacoma prerunner?

 

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. But, I can tell you that they're mounted to the door in a way such that you can mount a wide range of tweeters in this location -- I wouldn't worry about trying to match the size to OEM. There is plenty of space, both in terms of diameter and depth, to fit nearly anything that would qualify as a tweeter. You just need an appropriate bracket -- which is something you can easily make yourself.

Here's a post where I discussed replacing my speakers last year. You can see the new and old tweeters and how they were mounted. Both were aftermarket -- no idea what the OEM speakers look like.

I bought the new speakers from Crutchfield, and they included mounting brackets that made it easy to install the tweeters that came with the speakers. It's just a piece of plastic with mounting holes at the correct locations. You use a hole saw to drill a hole in it, for whatever size tweeter you have.
