    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
I have had good luck running KO2s the last 7 years, I do have Blizzack DMV2s but didn't bother putting them on last year.
Lots of guys in my neighborhood run Duratracks.
Air pressure and driving to the road conditions is a big part of it, don't be high balling it doing 80 down the freeway!
Heres a quick review by a guy from Quebec and they like to giver!

What I'd like to see is a head to head unbiased test between all the top AT tires.
same truck, same conditions, just swapping tires.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I'm probably the only one to suggest it, but I really like my Kumho Road Venture AT51, they kick ass in snow and rain. Love em, and at $173 a tire for a 285/75/16 it doesn't break the bank.

I know this is a little older thread but figured I’d throw in my two cents. I have had two sets of Ko2s, St maxx in 255/85/16 and Falken wild peaks on my 4th Gen 4Runner. St maxx by far the best performance.Followed by the wild peaks. The 2010 I just bought has 285/75/16 ko2s and I will not hesitate to get the st maxx in 255 again. I’ve lived in the Colorado high country most of my life and beside my 09 Subaru Outback sport i have never felt as much control in really bad conditions as I did with the coopers.

It’s funny that people don’t realize that Mt Shasta, Kirkwood, South Lake Tahoe, Mammoth, etc, are all in California. I remember in 90’s when we had 15 feet of snow. Cabins with flag poles completely covered. Back to tire talk.

There is no AT more aggressive than Duatracs.

I've run both Duatracs and KO2 stock and siped. KO2 are ok, not much more than that, in fresh snow, frightening on ice and hard packed snow.

Duatracs out perform KO2 in every environment.

I work in the bush in central and northern BC, all I will run are siped Duatracs, 235/85-16.

Still not as good on ice as a dedicated snow tire, but those won't hold up to my driving needs.
