Instructions are pretty much null from what I could find. IIRC you have to remove the rubber strip (take out the clips carefully) and the deflector goes between the hood and the rubber. insert the clips you removed or the new ones provided.

Had one mounted back when I bought the truck. The sad part was it upset the streams of washer fluid spraying on the windshield, to just a dull fog that put nothing on the glass, but sprayed all over the hood. Nice clean hood, but dirty glass. It's a really good idea, but they missed on the design with the rear kick up piece being to tall to deflect the battered bugs over the top.

It hazed up shortly after, and off it came and into the trash for 2 points.

Hard mount screws and bushings for mine. Tape in place where you want it, then drill holes thru the underneath hood substructure(carefully).

I did keep the vent shades over the door glass,,and there still stuck where they need to be.

I think mine was the Ventshade 23213. Not sure about the part number, but it looked just like that. NIB in 99 they were $110,,now it looks like they are $50 for the same thing.

I realize this is an old post, but I just removed the factory bug shield from my 2003 to clean out all the junk that collected in there. Unfortunately, several of the mounting clips broke apart. Are these still available and if so, does anyone have a part no.?
    Thanks

Auto parts stores will have them, just take one with you and match it up. Got mine from the local NAPA store.

Ok cool. There’s a NAPA about 20 min from me. I’ll pop in there tomorrow.
