Question: So, I got an apple watch and love it. So, many functions and things it can do. I can get my email, monitor workout, HR, etc etc etc. It just seems like such a better option than wearing my other watches like the Rolex, Tag and others. I seem to never wear those anymore because it just doesn't make sense given how utilitarian this apple watch is. Does anyone else have this issue or do you just wear the "nicer" watches when you dress up etc? I feel they are just wasting away sitting in the watch case collecting dust

You can send them to me.

I try to make a point to wear certain watches with some regularity but inevitably end up with a g shock on 80 percent of the time.

Wear what you like. At some point the apple watch will become obsolete or won't work with some new technology or what phone you have. Until then enjoy being a slave to the emails....

I got this Bulova as a gift. I'd never looked much at them but it looks good with the brown band. I've got a handful of fashion watches now that I enjoy rotating in as a match to whatever I'm wearing.PXL_20221224_165822481.jpg

I used to talk so much shit about Apple Watches.. but then I got my girlfriend one, and after watching her with her’s I got myself one a week later  It’s crazy nice for tracking my calories burned, heart rate, & workouts.. plus it’s nice to be able to leave my phone at home and still be able to text, call, and control my earbuds. I have Garmin Fenix’s and dress watches but they’re all obsolete now.

Ironically, that Apple watch is what will be obsolete in a years time, while the "dress watches" will be ticking away for years to come. $1000/year only to be thrown away after use.

That being said, they do have way more functionality than a normal watch. Hard to beat in that regard.

New watch from the in-laws for Christmas. Seiko SRPG31. I wanted this to be an everyday/field watch. I honestly think it's a better looking watch than the Hamilton Khaki for a fraction of the cost, but that's obviously an opinion.

I honestly doubt it. With technology always evolving, I feel like tech watches will get even better and even more common. There is definitely an age factor to consider, which goes back to them getting more common in time and old styles becoming less common in time.

For the record, they’ll last as long as the phone that you’re holding to type this (unless you’re using your rotary dial), and they don’t cost anywhere near $1k.

I am curious how it will be obsolete? I had one for many years. It worked perfectly. The only changes were adding more and more technology. Still told time and did what it was designed to do.

I couldn't get used to my smart watch and it annoyed me I had to remove it and charge it. I don't remove my watch mutch. Once and a while when I'm doing some heavy wrenching.

I went back to my analog watches.

    I'm liking this Seiko automatic.PXL_20221227_155113579.jpg
