I just wanted to put this here since I had a very difficult time finding this info myself. But the weight of the 6 lug, stock aluminum wheels for a gen 1 (at least a 2003, xtra cab, with a 6cyl engine) is 22lbs. I had replaced my wheels with aftermarket ones and wanted to match or lower the weight of the factory wheels but went on a wild goose chase to find concrete info on what that weight was. Hopefully, you don't have to do that now.

Actually I am more inpressed with a good set of stock wheels in good shape than all (most) these custom wheels...

less troubles and they take bigger tires all the same

    +1

I think a well kept, all stock truck is much more rare and eye catching than all the so called “personalized” trucks that only tend to emulate each other.

I had one of the first custom swing out tire carriers on TTORA (because I wheeled the shit outta my truck).. does that make my personalized truck an emulation?

Just sayin, it’s refreshing to see a cared for all stock truck, especially as it ages. The norm today is lifted and black wheels. Nothing wrong with that, but too common for me.

Thank you! This one isn't actually mine, I just needed a picture to show one that was similar to what I have as a reference.

I get where you're coming from with the stock stuff. I'm keeping everything stock that I change out (radio, wheels, bumpers, etc) so I can restore it to an oem look if I want to in the future. Anything that I'm painting (which isn't much) I'm doing with plastidip so it can be removed if needed for the same reason. Eventually I will do permanent mods like a roof rack and lights but it'll be able to be taken back to as close to stock as possible once I'm done with it. I don't plan on ever selling it though so I don't think I'll ever do that, I just like the idea of having the option. And my original wheels weren't in bad shape at all, I just wanted to darken her up a bit.

Here are some pics of mine though, granted they aren't the newest. The biggest change is the headlights have a bit of a light smoke tint on them now too, not nearly as dark as the tail lights, just something slight. And the TOYOTA badging on the tailgate will be returning, it just got lost by the shop that painted her so they had to send me new letters and I just haven't gotten around to plastidipping them. Also, my bad if I'm using the reply function incorrectly I couldn't find a "reply" button for your specific comment so I hit "quote" instead.
