Hi. I'm Rob. I have a "tinkering" problem. I've been tinkering since I was a young kid, spending days in the garage with Dad. I've been building and beating on things ever since. My first rig was a 1987 Samurai. It went through an engine swap, two different lifts, T-Case gears, FJ40 axles, etc. At one point it sat on 36" Super Swampers.

    Currently the stable houses:
    1969 FJ40-2F w/Holley Sniper, 4spd and 275/70r18.
    1985 Pickup Extra Cab 2wd (project)-I have a 2000 4Runner Limited as a donner.
1986 Samurai TT (project)-I have a 2000 Vitara as a donner. For some reason I can't get away from the Samurais.

"I don't see anything about a Tacoma. Why are you here?"
I'm picking up a 2005 Tacoma Access Cab today, Friday, December 23rd. The truck has V6 4L, 5spd manual, 4x4, eLocker. A friend has been holding it until I can get some stuff moved around (sold). I have already purchased an ARB front bumper for it. Wife and I are going to use this as an expedition rig at retirement. We plan to drag a small camper to locations then hang out until we want to go somewhere else.

    Share some photos!

I love samurais and FJ40's, but the ride is awful. The Tacoma will feel like a Cadillac!

Here is the FJ40 when I brought it home.
That's all I have for now.

Guessing I need to jump over to the the second gen area to ask about Lucy's first issue? Seat belt/airbag light on the dash is on.
