Take that spoiler off, you'll about 1 mpg and have more highway wind noise. Thats what i got when i did my oil change.

Sorry man. I am 59 yo with two adult kids.
I have watched entire generations move from finding actual real data, in both books and online, to finding extremely questionable data on YouTube that is popular because the way it is presented is entertaining. Basically don't let facts get in the way of a good story.
    Sorry.

Well, like I said earlier, I wanted to test it out myself. But you made a very good point.

Mine is staying on. I like it. Only way I would take it off, is if I found a trd skid at smoking price.

Clearly lots of folks don't see the benefit, and that's fine. For the rest of us, there is logic to why a chin spoiler will improve both interior noise levels and fuel economy.

I drove both my 2016 and 2020 for a while with, and without it. There was absolutely no negligible change in fuel economy for me.

Take a look at the advancements in OTR trucks and their aero adds. I figure the Toyota engineers could save weight and bean counters $$$ if the chin-spoiler was unnecessary. However, its what each of us like for looks or need for mileage. Some like toneau covers, some like windshield visors, big tires and wheels, etc...

Mine was off as soon as it hit the driveway. Looks over function.)

You bring good points to the round table...albeit, humorous! lol

I kept mine on until I found a great price (for me) on a TRD Skid from Prestige Toyota in NY ($306 Shipped -- Nov 26, 2021 // arrived Nov 29)

I got to know the Parts Guy/he does great correspondence!

He hooked me up with these goodies for Christmas 2021:

    Order Contents:
    P/N Quantity/Price Each/Description
    PT2763520002 1 $ 38.95 Alloy Wheel Locks - Black PVD
    PT58035050SB 1 $ 83.09 Bed Mat - Short Bed
    PT85735200 1 $ 50.57 Bed Lighting Kit

I do like the DiamondBack Tonneau cover but I think the TRD Lift is my next big expense.

Everyone is an 'internet expert' on everything now cause they saw it online, and pass that information on like it is theirs. And that questionable data on YouTube, Facebook, Tic tok, whatever, is spread like the gospel on all forms of social media. So the use your own brain and common sense while snarky, is really good advice.

I've got (I should say "we", [wife & me]) 2 adult daughters...both married and smart!

They still enjoy hanging out with their parents...imagine that!

So, what gives with all the Air Dam/Chin Strap negativity?

    It's just an attachment.

What does Toyota say the MPGs are on Sport vs OR trims?

I took mine off and didn’t notice any difference. I say it’s just personal preference on how it looks.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
If there was any extra noise when I removed mine it was drowned out by the sound of the more aggressive tires I added. Win-win.

Don't forget different tires along with the air dam, not quite apples and oranges. I'd put a hefty bet on the Sport tire having lower rolling resistance than the OR along with being slightly smaller OD.
