    Merry Christmas to me!

Drove out of my parking spot today and forgot to unplug the block heater cord. Snapped off one of the pins.

    what are my options?

Am I able to splice the cord like a regular block heater and just install a new male plug on the end?

    OR

Does anyone have the part number for a new cord with door flap to replace the cord coming off the element?

    Any other advice?

oh, get a good marine grade plug rewire it up! not too had at all, make sure you clean the cord back up and splice in heat shrink it all up. you should be good to go, think I paid less than $10 when my F350 diesels cord when to crap.

Does it matter that it’s this style block heater cord? I know I’ve done the old school style but haven’t heard of anyone repairing these new style ones

This is what the block heater looks like removed from the truck.

I should be able to just install a block heater end plug right?

trying to avoid buying a new cord if possible
