Interesting, is it a California truck or pulled in from out of state? Most large dealerships whether it be Kearny Mesa, Ca. To Manhattan, NY sell CPO.

It must be “as is” to get rid of it, did you get it cheap?

I did something similar to mine about a month after driving a brand new truck home off the dealer lot. Had a slab of marble in the bed and it slid going around a corner, put a pretty decent crack in the bed. I was a little pissy at first, but it's a truck and will continue to get used as such. I really need to get a bed mat...

Seems. You also have frame damage. Was on a salvage title? If it’s undisclosed then…..

Looks like a hole. It would have been a dent in a lesser truck box.

A used 2020 vehicle from a large Toyota dealer "AS IS" means you own whatever is wrong with it (if not covered by any remaining warranty). That's an easy epoxy fix, you don't have to go full medieval and grind out a huge hole at first in my opinion.

What makes you certain there is frame damage?

I might be mistaken but on the first pic, it seems like there’s a crease a rear impact

Pretend you never saw it. Don’t grind or epoxy anything if the bed side isn’t compromised. Anything you will do to it will make it unseemly and certainly not as uniform as it is in its ‘damaged’ state. Every Tacoma bed I’ve had (3 now) had some bed damage from heavy objects sliding around. Get a bed mat to prevent that sliding and be glad you aren’t posting on a GM, Ford or Mopar forum talking about why your bed may rust through soon if you don’t take action.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
This. I wouldn't spend any time on this. It isn't like metal that is going to rust and it doesn't compromise the integrity of the bed. Just leave it and drive the truck. I personally wouldn't bother with a fiberglass repair, but I might be tempted to buy some rubber bedliner and just lay a thick layer over it on the outside.

Have not heard back from the OP about a pic from the inside. Inquiring minds want to know.

    Hmmm. Oh, that.

Ok, now you made me go look.

Not creased. Or I should say it is creased, but purposefully so. That plate has a bend in it where it meets the angle of the lower frame.

Smudged the road dust with my grimey finger so that it would show better.

Yeah, appears punched nearly through the bed requiring some fiberglass work. Must of took good shot to do that. I've hit the wheel well sides of my bed with my lawn tractor's deck driving in there, and it didn't show nothing but a scrape.
