Looking to trade my '22 SR for a 3rd Gen with a long bed and amazed...

It's like dealing with women. All over the place. Seriously, lot has to do with, how long their truck has been sitting on lot. Also some dealers throw that line out there and see if anyone will bite. Some do...

Keep trading vehicles every few years and you’ll keep taking a bath on em.

 

And it seems once they throw out the initial numbers, hardly any wanna vary from where they started. Like a take it or leave it thing...

 

Would a trailer work, or do you need the long box daily?

 

I won't trade if that's the case. And when my truck stickered for $35,097, and I'm offered $36,500 5 months later with 11k miles on mine, I for sure am not...

 

What about if you removed the 60/40 rear seat for added room giving you space for 3 passengers, and then added cargo room for the drums? And added a cap or a bed extender?

It sucks trading in a truck you like, for the same truck plus 12 inches and 5-9k. Not worth it!

 

Maybe it was the pro you couldn’t get the LB on…

 

Not handy for a lot of places. Besides I am trailer poor now. Have a 16' utility and a 16' stock trailer for hauling my horses and cattle. Tired of giving Illinois registration money. They just raised trailer fees by more than double a year or so ago.

 

I can trade for this '21 TRD with 15k miles on it for basically $3500 plus ttl and dealer fee of $599(RIPOFF FEE). These folks are trying real hard to get my business. Their truck books for like $7500 more than mine on KBB. PLUS theirs is Toyota Certified.

 

I personally would do that, hope for the best interest tate. I think the sports in cement or LR look sick, and the larger sport wheels suit the longer bed. Try real hard to negotiate the dealer fee or some accessories into your deal.

You win the prize! You are the first to point out interest rates. They have sky-rocketed since I bought my SR. I'm gonna be up about 2.5% in rate if I do this. That is the only reason I am hesitant. My CU says I can always refi with them once rates go back down, and they will, but we have at least 2 more years of this crap to endure, if ya catch my drift...
