That's what I was reading, they don't take the baby anymore. I feel it also helps the parents become more responsible strait off. We planed on a spring/summer baby just because of my schedule and we naiad it of the 1st month we really tried.

Ford has this really stupid design on their radiator hoses.

Buddy came by with his F150, 5.0 and the radiator hoses (for the most part) have the traditional constant tension bands...cool.

However, they have this stupid Y pipe and everything that connects to it, not to mention the lower radiator hose, and they use this proprietary clip setup.

Well on top of that, they use o-rings to seal these connections. Over time, the o-rings become flat (and flush with the hose connector) causing leaks where they connect.

Buddy had two leaks, so I replaced the Y as well as the o-rings on the remaining hoses.

These are the connectors, and inside you'll see a deep groove where the o-ring goes.

    20221230_133712.jpg

Here's one of those flattened o-rings that was worthless and causing a leak.

    20221230_133752.jpg

Flushed out the old coolant while we were at it so now it's all good to go.

Wife ended up having a C sect so she was a bit out of it from the drugs. As soon as my son was out, they did their thing and I stuck with him while he had his rinse off lol. They cleaned him up and toweled him off, wrapped him and I swear the kid looked up at me and smirked. Anyway, we went in to recovery and she was able to do a little skin to skin contact with him but she was still shaking a little from the drugs. Took about 1/2 hour but she was fine after. Man, we did not sleep until getting home with him. Craziness - still, wouldn't change anything. Having the time off definitely helped. When she was awake, I was out, when she slept I had him. Her mom stayed with us o_O for a couple of weeks until we started to get the routine down.

Yeah man it's a wild first few weeks after haha. It's mostly a blur for me regarding what happened when during that time frame. I know we had my mom and her mom down to help a bit but just the first week or so

Yeah I can only remember so much of those early days now. I have of course a crap ton of pics and videos and some memories will always be with me. For instance, her passed out in the bedroom and me and the kiddo in the family room. I had just finished removing a nasty diaper, placed a clean one under him and he figures I'm just going to piss all over the old man. Streamer big time. Thanks son. lol

@eon_blue @Area51Runner any recommendation on baby monitor. I dont think we need the wifi smart monitor but a good video screen will be good.

The wifi ones make me uneasy with the whole internet-hackers variable however unlikely it is. We've always just used the ones with video and sound, rarely ever have the sound on though. She's just down the hall and if she cries we hear her anyway.

Plus she's old enough now that if she wants our attention she just gets up and swings the door open in the middle of the night and creeps into our room lol.

Ultrasound went well today; Theo had his arm up most of the time as if trying to hide from paparazzi

Honestly, we must've tried a ton of them before settling on one. If I had to do it all over again, get one that isn't on the cloud unless either of you need to be able to view remotely from offsite. If that's the case, I'd pop for a nest cam or another higher end if you can simply for the signal security. If not, I would go with something simple that has a handheld monitor and is OFF the cloud where it simply streams wireless over your local network to its display or one that transmits to its monitor and isn't connected at all to any network.

My sister-in-law went with something like this (not available anymore) for when she's at home and not at work. When she's at work she uses their Ring cams they have setup inside as well as outside.

I will say this, those baby product companies are 1000% money makers. They will absolutely steal your cash at every turn if you let them. Have to do your homework and read reviews... always.

Oh it's nerve wrecking for sure, being our first kid

But we've also been planning for one, and we've put in the work to get to where we want to be to finally have one.

I'm retired, so I'll be a stay at home dad really.

Wife on the otherhand is finishing up her Master's program and already got accepted to continue for her Doctorate so....I'll have my hands full.

    Pray for me :rofl::bananadead:
