I thought I sufficiently researched, but I guess I was wrong. I’ve read many threads mentioning the Icon AAL and leaving the overload spring in, how does one go about doing this?

I seem to have a bracket conflict. Do I just cut the overload’s bracket off? Just looking for confirmation before I do something permanent. Pictures would be amazing if anyone has done similar.

    I've done it.

Yes, you grind the brackets off. I spray painted the rivet after grinding as a sort of rust protection.

The Ubolt will hold it in place.
