So, my wife was kind enough to get a few things off my mod list for me for Christmas. One of which was the puddle pods from Tacoma Beast. I got home the other day from work and was excited to do the install, only to find out that the kit was missing parts. (We can discuss the importance of doing a pre-install inventory before taking the truck apart later) Once I identified the parts that were absent I reached out to TB, only to find that they have "Disabled their phones due to a high volume of calls." So I was wondering if this was a larger issue than just a few boxes. I have ordered from them in the past and all was great. My wife reached out via e-mail and got a very quick response, however the response was " We need to contact our VENDOR." Now I am really wondering how large this issue is. I guess I can request a return and attempt to get them from another source, but I really want to give TB a chance to make it right, I'm OK with them just shipping the missing parts, so it delays the install, but it helps them cut any potential losses. It's hard for small businesses right now with all the BS shortages and log chain delays, I hate to see it worsened by unnecessary returns. The missing parts are the round to flat adapter y that goes in the mirror (Item #4 v5 puddle harness) Puddle Pods.jpg

I’m fairly sure that you’ll need to get a separate harness from @daveeasa for the V5’s to function properly with DRL’s, as in that part (#4) doesn’t do anything. @MESO could also help you.

EDIT: I’m wrong, you’ll need them just to connect to the puddle pods, but they won’t connect to the V5’s

Thanks for the info on additional sources. Unless I'm misunderstanding the diagram of what included, the missing harness should have been there. There is no way to plug the door harnesses (Flat 4 pin) to the puddle pod lights (round 2 pin). If I don't hear back from them by the end of next week (it's the holiday) I may contact Meso directly and see if I can just buy them.

Item #4 is a pure MESO part. I don’t make that one. I might have the pieces but, yeah, TB will need to source from MESO.

You can button everything up without it for now and then just re-open the door panels later to add it in.

You are correct on that. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact MESO directly. He has a support form and can probably ship out promptly assuming parts in stock.

Yea, I already closed it all up, just in case TB wanted to do a return. I didn't think about just doing the install, then just pop the covers off the mirror to drop the harness in. it seems like it stays in the mirror (per the directions). once I have a planned resolution I may just do this to get the "Hard" part done. Thanks for the idea.

Took me two days to get my puddles in. Some guys work fast, I’m a slowpoke.

The door boot work was the most time consuming for me.

That part definitely looks to be a PITA, but I'm somewhat A-retentive when it comes to wiring. I might wait to get the new switch panel from R4T to make it a clean install. I'm thinking the Auxbeam switch center might be a nice add for future expansion.
