with the cost extremes of copper lately, it's starting to be more commonplace to have cca wire. terrible terrible stuff.

i go out of my way and usually over-spend to get pure copper wiring... these days i only order from knuconceptz just because they're one of the few outfits i trust to get the wire type and gauge sizing correct...

That’s something that I have not considered. I need to pull out the calipers and check the gauge of the new stuff.

yeah, i learned the hard way a few years back, i got an "8 gauge pure copper" scosche amp wiring kit, and the '8 gauge' was really about 12 gauge wiring in a thicker plastic to make it appear that it was an 8 gauge wire. dirty tricks.

i later went to a car audio shop to get some some 12 gauge speaker wire later, and their "12 gauge" speaker wire had the same outer diameter of ace hardware's 18 gauge home speaker wire...

i know there's got to be other reliable sources for real-gauge wiring, but i found knuconceptz actually follows the standard, so just stick with them for now.

for a number of years, i ran home audio speaker wire specifically because i could at least count on it being true to it's gauge size, but that doesn't come in amp power wire sizing.

It’s so you don’t have to worry about the stock plastic housing cracking if it’s been even slightly over torqued. Plenty of posts on here about it, it happened to me after a dealer oil change.

I installed Clazzios yesterday as well :)

Took me about 5 hours straight. Most of the time was ensuring that everything was nice and tight, but the result was worth it! My advice (if you haven't done this part yet) is to take your time with the rear seat when you remove the bolt for the center belt. Also, to keep my sanity, I brought all the headrests inside the house where I could sit down and be more comfortable during the install.

I'll get back to you on that, let me drive it a week. I have a tune on my truck which was written with the manifold spacer in mind.

Yeah the headrests took 2 people for me, was a wrestling match lol. Rears shouldn’t be as bad overall.

Unbolting the front seats and tipping them forward and backwards really helped.
