    Tomorrow is last day of the holiday hunt . I have no room in my freezer so that coupled with the fact that bucks are scarce around here I think I’m done . I have no interest in shooting a doe .     The NID has now become an antique. Nice pictures.

    Mark: In Maryland POTS service is regulated by the Public Utilities Commission. If you are without service, in Mayland, Verizon has to dispatch a technician within 4 hours. If you have FIOS the service is not regulated and as such there is no timeline on repairing the service. Verizon keeps trying to sell off the copper outside plant facilities and wiring.

    The money these days is in wireless communications. The wireless carriers are so powerful, contribute so much money and perks to Congressmen and Senators, that they had the over the air TV frequencies repacked to allow more bandwidth for cellular communications. This too will change, and the Verizon's and AT&T's of the country will be in on the ground floor of the technology.

    We had a wonderful stay in Michigan, visiting relatives. Both the drive up and back were uneventful. The drive home yesterday was a constant fiddling with the wipers due to the rain/mist/road spray. Hardly any truck or car traffic on the interstate and the state police had minimal staff on duty.
