    ***Update: I contact Meguiar's customer service and explained the situation. They were VERY receptive to the feedback and concern regarding the damage. That said, they will cover the cost of the new screen and screen protector, totaling $110.53. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!***

    TW team:

    Good day...I spent a few hours yesterday detailing the '15 DCSB Limited and all was going well. The product used was Meguiar's interior detailer cleaner. The product worked well on grime to easily clean door handles, door jambs and other plastic parts. However, the success was overcome by unintentional damage to the Entune screen. At first, I thought it was excess liquid left on the screen, so I wiped some more. Then, I quickly realized the Meguiar's was eating away at the anti-glare that is on the factory radio. Realizing the situation, I figured I'd may as well try to get all of the anti-glare off. Well, bad went to worse, as the circular motion seemed to take the dry flakes of the anti-glare and scratch the screen.

    Luckily, the factory radio is performing well, so I have no intention of replacing with aftermarket hardware. But, I had to order a new screen ($96) and it should be delivered in a week or so. The company has a YouTube instruction vid for screen disassembly, and it doesn't seem too hard. Attached is a picture of the product and screen. Lesson learned, so passing along the info to everyone. Ironically, the label on the Meguiar's has a shiny, sparkling picture of a radio on it and is NOT safe for "all interiors." Don't be fooled!

    I know the bottle says "Safely cleans ALL interior surfaces", but this isn't something I would have thought to use on the LCD screen.

    Might reach out to Meguiar's and be like... hey so I know it says to test on an unseen area but thats impossible in the case of the LCD. anything you guys can do for me (something small like refunding the purchase of the Meguiar's product or something).

    OP @AFChief do you have any other photos before, during, or after your efforts here? If you do, please post them.

    Good question...FYI, my '15 is in awesome condition on the inside and I just passed 48,000 miles on the odometer. I included a before and during pic to show how the damage progressed. The before pic had some lint on the screen, but ZERO scratches on it and was taken about two weeks ago when updating the radio. For the "during photo", I attempted to catch the delineation of what had been removed.

    Another user recommended I contact the vendor for possible compensation, so it's on my to-do list today.

    It’ll take them awhile before they slap on new labels that warn not to use on any video screen surfaces.

    @Caslon:

    Yes, that is a great point. Hopefully, with my experience, they will refine the product and expected results. Again, their customer service was well above standard!

    Selling my plane and using the aviation products on my Tacoma. For cleaning the headlights, I use the 210 Plastic Cleaner and Polish. Used it on the windshield of my plane. Removes bugs, the foam softens up the stuck debris - consequently, does not scratch the surface. Also, it polishes out minor scratches. This also works well on the instrument panel and the nav screen.
    I also use the Clear View sometimes. But better results with the 210.
    I use a soft towel to wipe the foam of and another one to polish the surface.

    Meguiars are pretty quick at changing the label. They may even put a warning sticker on old labels until the new ones are printed.

    Manufacturer doesn't like paying money for damages caused by their products.

    Thanks for sharing, I actually still have some product left in a bottle I have. I have used it on Navigation screens on various vehicles, but have never had that issue. I am definitely not going to purchase it anymore. I have been using GTechniq Tri clean for interiors for about two years now and it works great. I however do not use it on screens. For that I usually just use some Stoner Invisible glass cleaner.
