didn’t fall for that trick. Not good to owe a truck for life. SO box quality not what it used to be. Had both, last work provided SO.

I've got stock leaf springs with the mounting hardware, rear shocks, front shocks off of a 2021 TRD Offroad DCLB. They have about 8,000 miles on them before I swapped them out. Let me know if interested.

Are you looking to recommend someone that does service or are you looking for someone who can service your Tacoma? I don't think there is a forum thread specific to independents as a whole but there are a handful of threads from local independents show casing their work and services.

 

I am looking for recommendations for Service. I've been using the Truc Shop on Miramar Road but am interested in additional options. (Transmission Fluid exchange-Service)

I just recently learned of Taco Garage in Chula Vista.

 

If you are in North County, contact Speed Freek. He started the post this links too. Here is his working post on the work he does. I'm sure he does maintenance but I think most people use him for mods that are beyond their own comfort level. He did full suspension upgrade for me back on May. Gave me all the advice on what to buy and did a great job on the install.

I believe he is a certified master Toyota mechanic (or at least former) and has been doing local mods now going on 10+ years.

same here. Ended up having the pros do it. Don’t trust myself to weld something structural my first time.

you can always get a cheap book, study, take courses first. May even be free at a community college. Or have a buddy show you.
There will always be welders for sale in the future. You can keep an eye out sometimes Harbor Freight will do whatever sale, or ITC membership discount if you have that; membership may be worth it if it includes a one time deal. Though I don’t think they are on sale right now and unfortunately every single item/good these days seems to be going up in price…
