So I’ve been looking at wheels for a while now and been considering getting a set of either 20x14’s or 20x12.50’s deep dish rims for both. I’ve read some things saying if I just put a leveling kit on it they’ll clear however I don’t really believe that. Does anyone know how much of a lift I would need or if it would work as is?

    Method or Icon bead grip

    You would not put 20”
    Your brakes are 16”

Going to that size will really strain your 2.7 from both weight and effective gear ratio change, making it slower & rougher riding than it is today.

I had 20"x9.5" wheels on my 2014 Tacoma and the tires barely cleared.

Based on that I'd say it's a safe bet that you're going to grind hard up front. As for lift kits, I would highly recommend that you do your homework there. Cheap lift kits (Rough Country, cough, cough) may gain you clearance, but will give you all sorts of other problems.

I’m having it regeared to 4.88 gears anyways just for low end power and torque so power isn’t the issue more worried about how much of a lift I should look at.
