I might check some out at antique market but im sure they can get pricey. Id be using the one i get.

Man I wish I still had my hot wheels from when I was a kid, lol.

 

i did that for a 12’ by 2’ shuffle board table. Took several evenings. Wife thought I was crazy but i was surprised how enjoyable it was to work hard with my hands after spending my workday staring at a computer screen

 

That’s one of the appeals for the stuff I like to make. It’s a zen thing to run a rasp over a piece and watch the grain patterns evolve.

Absolutely!! Been on the move all day it seems, so I'm just getting home. I only had time to bring in the small pieces. Left to right: white oak, walnut, maple, and a cedar.

 

Just so you all know, I got to put my hands on that wood, Hell, even smelled some of it

 

Careful with the aromatic cedar, depends what you are using it for

 

White oak smells good cutting it, smells a little like vanilla to me

 

Not sure yet, but I saw it and it was beautiful and I said, I need to do something with it.

 

It is pretty. Small Picture frame would be nice

Probably gonna pick up some of that cedar for a project I've been wanting to do. Been a while since I went down to that mill.

 

fun fact ~ "aromatic cedar" is actually juniper

They total 8 foot boards. They were always going to be cut, just made it easier to load.
