RIP Ken Block.

Feels like a Paul Walker type passing to me. These guys just seemed… invincible. Until one day they are not.

Truly sad day. Just woke up to do some maintenance before a road trip and saw this. Being the same age it puts a lot into perspective. He pushed the envelope on anything on four wheels. I for one will miss him and his driving ability.

RIP Ken Block, he was such an icon for action/motor sports. Between DC shoes and hoonigan he had an impact on so many people.

A buddy of mine knows him pretty well he actually builds his cars here in Vt.

 

Not sure how 3rd gen related lol. But that's crazy, unexpected news.

 

Kinda like Jesse Combs it sucks but when you do extreme chit it’s the risk you take I guess.
News this morning has a normal guy at work at the airport who was ingested into an engine.
Life is short enjoy it!

Posted it here as I have a third gen and he was highly liked among the groups I work with in the military. When he traveled overseas he always tried to find time to take our minds off of the other stuff.

 

That stinks. He was a very talented man.

snowmobiles are so f’n dangerous. I dont want to speculate but snow buried fences are often a culprit.

 

Snowmobile flipped and landed on him. No details on the circumstances (hidden rock?)

 

Very sad news about Ken Block , I know his Daughter Lia will carry on his legacy . Lia has been taught by her Dad on how drive race cars over the years and has become a very successful rally car and drift car driver

 

Unfortunately I wouldn't be one bit surprised if the fire to race cars is extinguished. He was always so proud and upbeat for her even when his races were going terrible. I hope it doesn't and she keeps hustling dudes in the Hoonicorn

So sad. It's amazing to see the outpouring of love for him on social and how many lives he touched and inspired. Of all the stunts and risky moves he has made in a car over the years it's crazy that he went out this way. It really makes you think about your own mortality when a guy like this, who is as close as we get to a real life super hero passes. Nobody lives forever.

Thoughts are prayers go out to his family. I know his daughter Lia has been following in her fathers footsteps. I hope she stays with it and builds on the family legacy.

 

It’s sad that Ken Block’s death isn’t getting much media attention. Everything seems to be about Renner and the Bill’s player injuries.
