Do 2nd gen tacomas not have outer wheel/axle seals? I can only find one part by that name, not an inner and outer. I’m trying to rebuild a rear axle that has ~250k miles and wanna go ahead and replace anything that can wear out/may have worn out. I have a drum kit in the mail, wheel seals, lug studs, and I’m sending off the diff to ECGS. Is there anything else obvious I need to replace? I may end up replacing the bearings as well but that’s still in the air.

BTW, are you replacing the wheel bearings at the same time?
If so @6 gearT444E has a good DIY on it.

Not sure, the bearings sound good with a stethoscope spinning the shaft by hand but it’s hard to get any speed since the axle is sitting on the ground at my job

    The bearings suck to replace.
You need a jig and press.
If they sound good, put the axle back in and call it good.
