I just installed the new handle and it feels like crap! Clunky and feeling like it is about to break. Argh!!

A pillar handle? Got any pics? Did the bolts tighten down to your satisfaction?

What is a 'pillar' handle? I tightened them to the 'snug' level since the bolts go into a softer steel female.

Yeah I bought an oem one from a dealer.....driver front......and it feels crunchy brandnew out of the box.........
kinda sucks lemons for a $60 part.........

After that I'd tell everybody to buy the dorman ones......

every time I'd place an order for something with amozon....I check for open box dorman ones they have all the time........usually $7 or $8......to tag on the end of an order to get the free ship.......
......I've scored a left and a right over the last year......

Did you clean the mechanism inside the door?

Gummed up mech will make any handle feel bad and fail prematurely.

A-pillar grab handle. Your title didn't specify that you were referring to the door handle. Please ignore.

Toytec coilovers. Height adjustable Bilstein's. 265/75/16 MT. TRD wheels. Rebuilt r150f. Marlin clutch kit. All kinds of new parts...
I replaced mine with a rockauto unit because it was really cold and my old one just snapped off. Twice. So I used some Houdini lock cylinder spray. Been perfect ever since. I sprayed it in the key hole and took my door card off and sprayed it on all the linkage. I think they get sand and dirt up in there and it makes it easier to bind up.

Besides greasing the arms, check to see if any of the arm tabs inside the door are bent. Just went through this. Door handle broke. Replaced with OEM, didn't feel great. Pulled back apart and realized arm was bent.

    Reference this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzEqA9Rk0XA

Event if you are not having that issue, it got my handle back to feeling new

My new OEM one lifts quite high until it opens. I will take apart this weekend and clean/lube all mechanical parts to see if that helps
