Currently sitting on Icon stage 2 (2.75”) with SPC UCAs, Method 301 18X9 +18 offset.

Front mud flaps gone and slightly trimmed the plastic tab on the back of the front wheel well already.

Can these fit with adjustments to alignment? Trying to avoid any more trimming but don’t want to rub at lock on full articulation.

    any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm running 275/70/17 KO2s on Vision Manx II 17X9 +12 offset with SPC UCAs and an OME-005 Heavy kit (2.5 in lift). No CMC or trimming. At full lock and full stuff I will get fender rub ONLY at full stuff which is brief. It has only happened twice and rarely do I have the wheels turned at full lock so it doesn't bother me. Take that for what it is worth, you're on 18s which changes things.

Can the wheels and tires fit? Absolutely. Will there be zero rub at full lock and full stuff, if I were a betting man I would say: No. That is just an opinion though since I have no data.

Edit: Please note I had my alignment guy get as close to 4 degrees of caster as he could and he maxed out the LCA adjustment and then fine tuned with UCA adjustment for caster. This moved the wheel as far forward as it could go. I recommend you telling your alignment guy to do the same. Details and the why behind this can be found in the wheels and tires forum... or maybe the suspension forum. I forget.

Thanks. I was thinking the same. Seems like it wouldn’t rub at all if I could get them about 1/4” more forward. With the SPCs I I’m hoping it can get corrected in alignment.

I thought there might be someone in the forum that ran into the exact thing with this tire size. They’re a little taller than 33” and that little more really matters a lot more than I thought it would.

You know what they say about hindsight though.

I'm running 275/70R18's on factory Nightshade wheels. I'm have Ironman UCA's and had a very good alignment done. I rubbed a little on the UCA at full lock. I got 1/2" spacers and those worked perfectly but weren't hubcentric and caused a little vibration so I just refrained from turning full lock until the tires wore down a little bit. If I aired down to 15PSI when off-road, the tires would shrink just enough to fully clear the UCA's and not rub at all during any steering angle and any flex.

That’s good to know. Ive had them in for about 400 miles. The ride is nice, but haven’t tested it off road other than this last snow/ice storm.
Is there enough sidewall to go down to 15psi on R18s?

that’s fully flexed and stuffed on fins n things with about 800lbs gear and armor. 15psi. No rubbing at all. Wheels are pretty gashed from crawling but I’ve never pinched a sidewall at 15. I’m also running 10 ply rated retreads so the sidewalls are pretty stout.

I asked a similar question on a different thread but then found this one. I was wondering what a 275 or 285 OR tire would look like with my 18" nightshade rims? I think yours look pretty sweet! What model tires are those? I have a 3"-1" lift, so I think I can probably run a 275/70 just fine without rubbing.

285 would most likely rub UCA. I’m running treadwright Warden tires. Basically a KO2 but for $135 a tire and much stronger sidewall.
