    AMSoil for a few reasons.

    1. I have it shipped to my door.
    2. I'm not paying any more for it than i.would be paying for any premium synthetic on any shelf at any store.
    3. It has been tested and proven to offer top shelf wear protection as well or better than other brands.

Mobil 1 is generally available for ~$6/qt everywhere, all the time. Are you getting Amsoil for that price?

I've seen Wally World brand (Supertech) in an online head to head match up against Valvoline and Mobil 1. Just as good as the others.

Clean oil is the best thing for a healthy engine.

LED interior, license plate, and fog lights. More to come.
Also, you need 6 quarts for a 3rd Gen V6 from what I've been reading.

    Mobil 1.

I’ve heard of a test done on engines where they were ran without oil. They would fill the engine , drain it, and then start it. All of the engines seized almost immediately when started except for the one that had Mobil 1 in it. It ran for almost 30 seconds before seizing.

Supertech Advanced is especially good. I’ve used it in an older K24 CR-V, newer Pilot, and CX-5 with good results. The Hondas seem to love it. The Mazda Skyactive seems to like Pennzoil Ultra Platinum a bit better.

Either way, it’s definitely very good oil, every bit as good as other top brands.

I've used it in my 17 Wrangler since new. Seems to be a really good oil. At times I've paid as little as $17.99 for 5 quarts. Have not done a diy oil change yet on my Tacoma. The Wrangler takes 10 min for me start to finish so it's a no brainer.

No doubt, so is the 20k mile filter made by Champion Labs.

Don't really use additives. Haven't in any of my vehicles over the last 15 years. Usually I run Mobil 1 but after hearing about LiquiMoly and doing some research, seems they've catered their oil to the Toyota engines by doing testing for mineral composition of the engine block and internal components. They have a handy tool on their site that helps narrow options for specific vehicles. Think I'll be picking some up to try out soon.

Why high mileage?. Those oils will mess with your seals. Only recommended if you already have leaks because neglected oil changes in the past.

So what are you gonna trust, some new fangled “synthetic” oil that’s been around maybe 30 years or natural dinosaur oil that’s time proven, been around millions of years!
Gettin harder to find the real stuff but that’s all I’m gonna run in my truck! And 30W, all I’ve ever used and never let me down!

    Every oil thread eventually…
