And if/once I do take heads back off, would you get new head bolts again? God they’re brand fucking new but I know they're suppose to stretch. TTY.

For the sake of saving time, would you guys bully me if I bought HGs at Napa as opposed to oem? Guys at the shop were saying it’s totally fine. Be honest

Got back to my scary wiring. Put everything into loom and taped it up. With the wire being so fat it was hard to get more than one wire in the loom, but it is what it is. Also got caps on the fuse. Overall turned out ok.

If the power steering pump you have is OEM don't buy a new one, rebuild it. It's pretty easy. This thread, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/power-steering-pump-rebuild-how-to-with-photos.377002/ will show you how to do it.

Here are links for rebuild kits.

    Will investigate,
350 ish shipped for OEM isn’t too bad but I will see if this is viable

I’m thinking of just getting a new one and rebuilding the old one

It would probably be fine but do you want to chance it? I've found gaskets are 100% worth going OEM. Pretty much most parts as well.

Honestly, if it was an older engine with graphite head gaskets, sure. But being that these use MLS gaskets, no, I'd get the OEM ones if I'm not buying a performance option like Cometic. Make sure your block surface is very clean when installing MLS gaskets BTW. Check it for flatness with a machinists straight edge and feeler gauges using the square box method. You can look that up it's pretty common and I'm sure there's good videos showing better than I can explain with words

I might have missed it but did you end up making it back down to SD or are you still up in SAC? Sorry to see this HG nightmare continues... Sux.

I used them on my truck purely because they were reusable gaskets and that made some regular service nice. But no without boost (and even then barely) it doesn't do a damn thing for performance.

Cool, that's exactly the answer I expected.

I just installed the set of those when I did my SC. Both TB and lower intake. Mostly for the same reason as @Speedytech7. Reusable quite a bit.

They're good gaskets though but beware they make torque specs feel wrong, use your best judgement on aluminum
