For sure...you can see the test dates were like 4 months apart. I wasn't about to spend an additional $500 to find out lol.

This intake was probably ran when other modifications were made totalling 13 hp.
Not a knock against you or the intake, we all been around cars long enough to know better. Lol.

This looks good - the shortest route from point A to B is a straight line, so I like the straight intake tube. I have been wanting to get rid of the resonator on my non-TRD intake. Where did you get that coupler?

One day I do plan to dyno it to see how the intake, exhaust and tune combo plays out. I’m not expecting much for the overall price paid, but driving around today is so much more fun!

This is the coupler I bought and cut it to length. It fits real tight over the TRD intake tube. Soapy water helps move things along. Comes with the clamps.

You need to remove the intake pipe to access the filter for cleaning?

Yea and it’s kind of a pain, but I can do it in about 20 minutes now. I honestly think that’s what the drink holder is for lol. Takes some good force to get it back in. I try to clean it every few thousand miles which is probably overkill. The pre-filter keeps it pretty clean. Figure it can’t be too clean.

    Work in progress...
Snake Oil, the heads only let what they let into the combustion chamber. It's like selling an 880 double pumper to a guy with a Mustang that has a 302 in it...ask me how I know.

I'll bite. My intake consists of an In house Fab snorkle to a stock air box, running a stock filter to the HPS intake tube. I did put it on a Dyno and had an average of 4 to 7 Hrprs increase over about 6-8 pulls. The HPS tube sounds meaner and with my snork I can hear the throttle body open with the passenger side window down. I'll have to dig around in the garage for the Dyno sheets but if anyone needs to see them I'll look for them.

    HPS Tube -- https://amzn.to/3igy4dx
The tube also opens up a little room in the engine bay as it replaces the stock tube that has a box on the backside.

I had a bad experience with TRD filter. Fine dust got through the filter and I could see a fine layer on the inside of the intake tube. If you spend any time off-road, that filter is garbage.

Never again will I be using oiled filters.

Man, I had the TRD filter and it’s doesn’t work in dusty conditions. Read my post above. I will be using paper filters only from now on.

everyone keeps arguing over aftermarket intakes making power, but what if i don't care about power and just want a different sound? is there a sound difference between intakes?
