I can’t figure out what the difference is between these two part #s, 81110-04260 vs 81110-04270. I accidentally ruined both my stock headlights on my 2017 TRD Off-road and want to replace them. Appreciate the help!

Maybe now is the time to upgrade to the factory LED assemblies instead.

Thinking about it but if I go that route I have to get matching fogs, taillights, harness too and then by then I’m spending $2,000+.

They have flat inner left and right side reflective portion to casts light wide vs standard uniform round internals... if that makes sense

Definitely “have” to, but not all at once. Priorities. If I were paying 600 replace halogen headlights, I’d just pony up the rest for the LEDs. Supposedly sparks has them for a good price with YouTuber discount codes so you don’t need to wait for a sale.
The improvement over even h9 halogens is nuts.
You will be the only one who knows your fogs don’t match unless you’re one of those people that runs them 24/7 for whatever reason.

Interesting, what model year did this take effect?

    I don't think it's a year thing but a trim level thing.

TRD and above get wide angle and SR5 get standard? I could be wrong.

2016-2019 TRD non-Canadian trucks have wide angle H11 fogs. Other models have standard H16 fogs. The wiring is identical regardless, fogs have nothing to do with the headlights. The wide angle fogs were discontinued in 2020 and all trucks 2020+ have standard fogs. Canadian trucks never got wide angle fogs. Non-TRD trucks didn't get the wide angle fogs. The H11 fogs are far more powerful and cover a much wider area than the standard fogs.

This is definitely the time to upgrade to OEM LED. OEM LED vs halogen headlight assemblies are covered in post #3626 here.

Once you put in the factory LED's you never once use you fog lights again. You won't need them or want them and when you turn them on you see just how horrible they are. Plus, the ONLY time you should ever have fog lights on is in actual fog when you're driving 20 mph or less. You don't need to upgrade anything else but the headlights themselves. Just make sure they're properly aimed and when then are, they are just fantastic.
