Long time lurker, first time poster ('17 Tacoma TRD OR 4D 5ft bed)

Greetings everyone,

I've looked through these forums for years. Ever since I got my '04 Tacoma 10 years ago, to my now '17 Tacoma I've always looked through these forums for ideas, advice, and pictures of some amazing Tacos. With that being said, here's mine below. The only mod I currently have is an all-black RLD Design Camper shell for a 3rd Gen Taco 5ft bed with sliding side windows and full opening back window. Waited well over 6 months for this beast of a camper shell to arrive and paid well over $4500 2 years ago.

Now that's that out of the way, I think I'll need to sell this. When I bought this I had so many dreams of getting a Roof Top Tent, 6 inch lift with 35" tires, front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, light bar, King suspension, etc. I had plans to go off-roading all around the deserts in Southern California, then I realized, "My GOD, this will be expensive!" So unfortunately I have to bite the bullet and try to sell this camper shell. Now, since I'm technically a "new member" I have to post 50 times before I can "technically" list this thing for sale on the proper forum page.

SOOOO...instead of this being a page trying to sell my camper shell, I'll go ahead and ask everyone that reads this.....if you had another choice other than a camper shell like this RLD Design, what would you get? I'm looking for advice on what I can get as a replacement to this such as a retractable bed cover, tonneau cover, bed rack, softtopper, etc.

Basically I'm asking if anyone has one of those, what are the pros and cons of having it, and how much did it cost you?
