Yeah be careful with that I feel like its gonna crack one of the bedsides with a large enough pot hole. The stock bedsides aren't that strong I would be worried about the fiberglass.
I have seen some bedrack type of cage to hold a topper from the bed bolts. Might need something like that.

Do a quick search on Amazon for your model and you'll find one. I have this is my cart for a while but haven't gotten around to ordering it. Mine is chrome and got moisture inside so I've been meaning to replace it.

love those controllers, but im about ready to put some black tape over the light sensor on mine, seems like its a bit slow to catch up during the dark. but do they make wiring so much faster!

Drove it to the dealership and bought new rotors, pads, shims and hardware. I plan on doing front brakes sometime next week.

Got into an accident today when someone decided to fail to yield and turn through the intersection. Slider and rear tire took the hit and damn near flipped the truck. Curious to see how the frame is.

Yeah the slider got dinged up a bit but really looks mostly superficial on that end. Popped the rear tire and a dent behind the rear door.

damn. I’d say find a good quality and honest collision shop to evaluate the damage.

I don’t know if the axle shafts are tweaked causing rotational vibration.

Rear wheel bearing probably toast. Maybe axle seal.

idk about leaf pack. If it’s bent, or moved and can be repositioned.

    while Hammer Hangers strengthens rear mounting points (I think you have this);
There is no product to my knowledge that would replace and upgrade bent front ones.
    Unless custom ones are welded.
Or, upgrading to a different style of rear suspension.

point is hopefully insurance will offer to cut a good check. And leave you the decision whether to repair, total and move on, or total and buy back for cheap to self repair.
I don’t know if the frame is bent (can probably be checked visually, or on a collision frame jig which also has straightening chains)
and what that would cost to replace as well as if insurance would even want to pay for it

even buying a frame and boxing it (has pros and cons) would still be a lot of work and it’s more fun to drive these trucks than wrench on them for a month straight

Curious to know what your plans are

or who knows, maybe it looks scary tilted like that just because the tire popped…

could be some damage or bending to the shock and mounting spots; unless it’s got shock relocate which I’m sure is stronger metal than factory

hopefully the tire had enough slippage on the road to let the truck simply slide/move from the impact rather than stand still accepting full force of the impact

wheel might have a slight bend

I don’t think it takes much force to break a locating pin on axle hangers/u bolt or even dislodging/moving them to an out of spec position

    Glad you are okay!
Also glad the slider took the bulk of the damage, hopefully the frame is okay - the other vehicle looks, not - so - good
This reinforces my desire to get legit sliders - protection from road idiots and eventually plate bumpers for protection from deer..

Not today but since Christmas -
I changed the oil - and whoohoo that I can now buy OEM Toyota oil filters from Wal/Mart!

I also removed the rear jump seats - b/c no one is gonna sit in them, lets be honest.

And I made dog platform V 2.0 - still gotta carpet it but V 1.0 was high/not so stable and I could not access the underseat cubbies easily.

Next up: install short shifter and drain/refill transmission + lube driveshaft
