Hi- I don't post a lot, but I have learned a lot here. I was a Chevy guy until a couple years ago when my dad convinced me to buy a Taco and I love the truck. I got a good deal on a 2000 extended cab, V6 4x4 in Lunar Mist and I've slowly been making it mine with minor mods as I get the money to do so. Recently I came out of the Home Depot here to find that some scumbag had clipped my passenger side front end damaging the parking light, my custom projector headlight and the stock bumper. Nothing major but pretty crappy nonetheless. I replaced the parking light kense and I can replace the headlight but the bumper was bent in the process enough so that it's gonna bug the hell outta me until I do something about it. I could just replace it with the same exact factory 4x4 front bumper and valance and be done with it but of course I have this idea in my head of what I want it to look like. I've never liked the front turn signals in the lower valance on the 98-00 4x4 Tacos. I want the shape and size turn signal that comes with the 2wd front bumper setup because I can get the dynamic/directional turn signals that double as DRLs. Can't do anything like that with the 4x4 turn signals mainly because of their odd shape.

I have searched and searched, and can only find one little mention of someone putting the 2wd front bumper, valance and signals on their 4x4 (which also gives me the chrome trim piece that goes all the way across the front as opposed to the split look that I have now). Common sense and everything else tells me that I should be able to do this swap no problem, but I don't want to buy all the pieces and find out that there's actually some strange reason why the 2wd bumper won't fit the 4x4 trucks. Can anyone verify that this is gonna be an easy swap? I should be able to just buy the 2wd bumper and valance and put it on my truck correct? Thanks in advance.
