New owner of a 1999 Tacoma and the shell has a broken tailgate window. I want to get it replaced, but can’t find the brand of the shell anywhere. If anyone has any suggestions on where to get new glass cut or the brand of the shell that would be amazing!

    I'd try:

    1. https://www.yelp.com/biz/verns-camper-shell-sales-torrance (since that is who sold it apparently - Verns - as stamped on the back frame)
Either they can ID and order a replacement (going to be costly) or at least ID the shell for you

    2. Tap Plastics and see if they can cut you an acrylic replacement

intake mods, firestone airbags, campershell, backup lights,
most automotive glass shops can cut you a flat replacement. haven't done it in about 40
years so no idea what the price is now

Search for a commercial glass company, if you are in a decent sized town there should be a company that can custom make one from the proper glass or a plastic equivalent. Would likely be similar priced to a replacement from the manufacturer if you have the hardware.

Thankfully you have a flat pane in the back that’s held in by a frame. Shaped glass panels with no frame are curved and impossible to replace unless the manufacturer of the shell sells them.

Do what others said, get 3/16” tinted plastic sheet from Tap plastics or online metals or similar. The plastic is almost indestructible. If you cut it yourself I’d use a jigsaw with a metal cutting blade on a slow speed and go slow, the plastic is typically backed with paper you can easily template on.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
If you have the skills by all means buying the materials yourself and trimming to fit is going to be the cheapest option .

    Good Luck!

I've called them for support before, very helpful, they'll probably refer you to their nearest dealer.
