I am not sold on the spindle gussets yet. I do need to order TC cam tabs though.

Anyone else gonna get the campteq roof? I could see myself doing that in the future. I'm just wondering if it's something to do on a vehicle with currently 100k miles. How long do these 460 motors last anyway?

Much more than 100k miles. The biggest issues we see with the 460 is the coolant valley plate leaks and the secondary air injection system craps out. Neither are detrimental. You can reseal the coolant valley plate and Paul Hewitt makes a SAIS bypass kit if yours ever goes bad. If you haven't already, I would add a transmission drain and refill every 30k miles to your maintenance list.

I wanna get rid of that crap totally on my 470. Hoping to get the ecu side of things taken care of with vftuner. There is a SAIS setting that I’m hoping defeats it with out needing to turn off the dtc.

My SAIS was replaced by the previous owner a few years ago so I should be good. It was about a $2000 repair.

At the very least get a new filter. The stock foam filter is known to disintegrate. I installed a K&N in mine until I can get my hands on the HT kit.

I pulled the foam out of the 460 and put a uni filter on. So far so good after 105k.

470 it’s just fucking annoying. I’ve got the Hewitt bypass kit if I want to install and bypass it, but honestly I’d like to rip it ALL out, plug the heads, figure out the ecu side of things, and be done with it.

speaking of ECU where is it located on the 470? I’ve got a new one I need to swap in so I can f around with vftuner.

The ECM is lower A pillar on the passenger side. This is why I cringe when I see all those GXOR people running thru water. So many ECUs low in the car.
I need to look under the hood again at the SAIS system. It's been a while since I've been under there thank goodness.

going strong for almost 3 years. Mine is a ‘17. The stock foam filter was already falling apart back in early 2020.

It’s a pretty easy DIY project:
