So maybe I'm here a bit early but I've got a deposit down on a '23 Double Cab Auto TRD Sport. Build date is later this month with delivery in early-mid December.

Move to CO from FL a couple years ago and brought my 2wd Sierra which has been dicey at best in the winter. Looking forward to having something more CO appropriate.

Seemed like a long wait but the taco finally arrived on Wednesday.

Already gotten rid of the air dam and got some new tires.

    Loving it so far.

I came from a full size GMC crew cab and definitely like that the Taco is smaller and more manageable.

Gonna work on finding some beginner trails this spring to get it out in its element some.

Welcome to The Mile High, I'm new as well to TW. Man I'll tell ya Tacomas just kick ass. If ur wanting to check out some fun 4x4 trails I haven't been up there in years but there is A Bad ass trail up above Golden up by Tunnel 1 you'll have to ask around on exactly how to get there. Probably ask any Native and They should probably know. Also Colorado overall is a real friendly place Good genuine people and most will help you out. Anyway again welcome I myself have A 2020 SR5 haven't done much with it right now I'm having some serious electrical problems if anyone can help?

I saw your thread. That is not going to be an easy problem to diagnose if you repaired the wires and it still isn’t working.

If you’re very mechanically and electrically inclined you probably could track it down but even then it would likely take quite a while. From the sound of it, if I were you I would probably go ahead and take it to a dealership. It’s gonna be expensive but unless you’re good with tracking and diagnosing electrical problems it will be worth it.

Well good news I found the problem it was my 30 amp am2 number one fuse. Good news my truck will turn over and all my dash and everything is working bad news is because of the damaged wires I am now getting two messages one is drive start control malfunction and the other one is break over riding malfunction I looked both of them up. So the break override malfunction isn't too much of a big deal because you can drive without it working but the other obviously is a major problem I read up on it and it said that this could be due to multiple different reasons a couple of the more specific ones that would pertain to my situation would be due to bad fuses of blown fuse or bad wire. LOL those reasons being and I quote " I'm very rare occasions this problem would be due to a bad or damaged wire" LMAO not so rare because that's exactly my problem. So back to the drawing board. A couple of the wires that were damaged I just put a Band-Aid on and just wrapped with electrical tape. A couple of the strands of wire we're severed from the rest I'm wondering if that would cause issues with the connection because all of them were connected. Does anybody know if that's an accurate assumption. Nonetheless I'm going to go back under and properly reconnect the wire it and wrap it up and he shrink it. I personally hate splice wiring it drives me crazy but I'm not up to the task of running all new wires throughout the truck does anybody got any other ideas?
