Removing a PCV valve

    Anyone have any suggestions for making this easy? Removing the hose is no problem, but has anyone then been able to remove the valve without removing the hose and brackets that go over the top of it?

    i removed mine without taking anything apart around it. I used an open end wrench, but i cannot remember the size.. I want to say maybe 17mm or 19mm?
