The key is an Access Cab "short bed" something I don't think Toyota ever did. Just want to see if anybody has done a custom form of it.

I wonder if you could take a regular cab frame and drop on an access cab body with a DCSB bed. Obviously you’d have to move the body mounts around, but it might just work with out a ton of fab work.

I doubt it because of how the frame curves upward for underneath the bed. It would probably be easier to throw an access cab onto a DCSB frame because the part of the frame needing to be shortened would be a straight run in the middle.

I was thinking that because the regular cab is a long bed, the curve up over the axle doesn’t start until like 12” past the cab. But I really don’t know.

I woke up in the middle of the night wondering about this, has anyone clipped the access cab frame for the short bed? is the green one real or photoshopped.
Not that I am going to do it, bed space is valuable for me, but my rebuilt from salvage 08 would be the perfect for it.

Roughly the same wheelbase as a regular cab.
