Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

Eggs are $9-$12 a dozen around here. That's practically robbery. I've thought about getting a few of my own chickens from tractor supply, but the mess and the smell and the coyotes...

 

It hurts. My family of 5 loves eggs. We go through a 60 count every two weeks. This time last year a 60 count was $7. Now it’s $24

 

Pets...

 

Only to you butcher them and eat them of course.

I'm a huge animal lover, so I would seriously struggle eating a former "pet". Yes, sounds crazy. I'm such a damn softie

Been wanting to fence the yard in to have another dog. I have to have a fenced in yard as the road I'm on is too busy and I like the ease of let them out the back door into the yard to do their stuff. However, treated lumber is ungodly expensive right now.

 

I to am an animal person but growing up on a farm in farm country . I got used to named animals being eaten.

As they are eaten talking about the stunts they pulled trouble they caused.

What do you think happens to all those prize wining Steers and Hogs ?

 

Ahhh the cycle of life. Can be quite emotional for me, but I like meat

 

People are different if we all were the same it would be very boring.

 

If those chickens are free range shouldn't you be able to walk around and pick one up when you're wantin one?

To be classified as free ranging birds, they only need to be outside 20 min/day.

Oddly enough, free range bird eggs are almost cheaper than non free range eggs.

 

Only when you entice the chickens onto your property.

Are poached eggs removed from the hen house by covert actions in the dark ??

 

I mean, if one just happened to be walking down the (rutted and unpaved Mennonite) street.....

A yard full of free ranging birds dies have it's advantages.

They decimate the tic population!

 

Now if the guy that hunts the land behind my house would only take care of the "free ranging" deer problem I got. Buggers are in my backyard and stare me down probably twice a week coming home from work late at night

When they start sticking out their tongues at you watch out!!

Just remember The Game Warden does not need a warrant to snoop inside .
