I got a spare bedroom and PA out of state hunting licenses are fairly inexpensive. Sure the neighbor wouldn't mind. I got a Harbor Freight winch I can hang right by the garage door so everybody driving by sees us skinning and gutting the deer

 

I wish I could like this post even more!

This was a quite common practice after the first day drive around check out how your neighbors. made out.

Now with cell phones people just share the pictures.

 

Harvest for crop damage !

 

Bottled water: Years ago the only bottled water is stores was distilled for use in an iron.

A worker walks up to the vending machine and buys a bottle of water for $1.50, in her hand is an empty bottle.

Rusty: Why don't you just fill your bottle at the drinking fountain?
Worker: This water is better.
R: Let me see that bottle -- look here, source: wherever Municipal
W: What does municipal mean?
R: It is city water, just like the drinking fountain.
W: Well ... It is still -- better...
R: It is bottled in a factory -- just like this one -- by the same people.
W: slow look of horror comes over her face

R: (my work here is done)

 

The neighbors daughter (and I presume gonna be head of estate) is cool as shit, would likely never have any issues at all. I keep an eye out on her dad getting the mail and the tenant they got in a cabin back the lane. Just neighborly stuff...

I'm pretty sure nobody wouldn't even bat an eye around here, that's the funny part

 

My 4 cats get the bottled or filtered water...

We had some way outdated Red Velvet cake mix, Mrs Green threw it out in the yard for the birds - it was winter. The neighbor called and asked "Is everything all right? We saw all the blood on the snow".

There is a water filter in my basement.

....I even change it....

...occasionally...

..when I remember..

.and can find the extra filter.

 

We do have hard water but we dont drink it or cook with it. We collect drinking/cooking water from a well. Baking soda trick? Like drinking it for heart burn or soaking the beans in it?

Those are awesome! Favorites so far are beets (w/onions), green beans, brussel sprouts, okra, olive salad, and escabeche/curtido. Well that’s a lie… I like all pickled veggies! I’d live in a Korean restaurant just for the appetizers (banchan).
