Hey hey. Looking to get a 3” lift put on my ‘19 TRD Offroad and have been looking at the Rough Country lifts. I know there are better ones for 1k+ but was hoping to do something more affordable, not sure if that’s the smartest plan though. Also have gotten quoted upwards of 12k from every place I’ve gone to so I’d like to go in knowing what I want purchased/have it already purchased and just pay for labor. Any recs are welcome, for lift kits, wheels, and tires included. Thanks!

ProComp 4" D-Bag, I mean Drop Bracket Lift, AMP Research Powersteps, 285/70-R17’s, Magnaflow, AFE CAI, Dipped Badges
Ahhh yes, the Insta starter pack! 3" lift, wheels and tires.

$12k quote? Like 25% of your truck's value when new? Wow. What exactly did they quote?

If over $1k is not so "affordable", I might reconsider my wish list. I would spend more on suspension and skip the wheels.

Everyone has their own opinion and recommendation on specific brands.

Sounds like you've done at least a bit of research and know the options. It all boils down to your needs/requirements and how much you want to spend.

The bill is yours, ring it up as you like!

Depending upon where you live there are lots of shops that won’t do carry in part installs. I would make sure you ask that before buying any parts. It would suck to end up buying all the components and then not having a reputable shop willing to do the work.

Depending on you plan on hard off-roading, I would consider other lifts.
If you just want the mall crawler look and don't plan on off-roading then you can get away with Rough Country, but other than light trails you might want something more reputable. I purchased the rough country kit a year ago and am switching them out next week, I personally wish I had bit the bullet the first time around instead of doing it twice.
It's a good kit for some people, but if you're dead set on buying a Rough Country kit I'd sell you for under $500, nothing wrong with the shocks just wasn't a fit for my needs.

The kit you install yourself will be cheaper than the kit installed at a shop. If you are just putting spacers in, watch a YouTube video then go buy the tools you'll need. Wi be cheaper and you get to keep the tools for next time (when you decide that the cheapest lift isn't exactly what you wanted).

    You want affordable and "best"?

Just buy a used truck with a factory lift.
