Ordered these speaker brackets for the front 6.5s Temp install to see how they fit and so far so good, But curious to see how they fit under the door cards. I trimmed the cards out to fit the larger 6.5s but im thinking the cards will sit against the brackets. Well see soon. Once it stops raining here and I can work on the truck outside with doors open (Small garage space) Ill get them installed.

After nearly two years of looking (and missing out on some other auctions) I've finally scored one of my top 3 sets of wheels for the truck.

Downside is they are the wrong offset but I couldn't pass them up. I didn't want to have to add 4x4 fenders or flares, or roll anything, but in order to fit -10 without any poke, something will have to be done.

If I really wanted to, because the centers can be removed I could probably have new barrels made but that would be so expensive. I might as well add new fenders and grafted on rears to get the extra space. I'm going to lower the truck in the next few weeks and see where are at that point. Excited none the less.

If anyone is interested in the wheels I have on the truck now I do plan to sell them. Although I wont have the new wheels on for a few months. Its at least a month shipping I'm sure from Japan for the Bergs. Probably longer.

I paid $400 for the wheels, and you can go back a page or two to see that I removed the paint, cracked clear and rust and polished them up. Plus put on a brand new set of generic falken tires.

So I started to install the BellTech leafs this evening and ran into an immediate issue. I didnt have the replacement shackle bushings. So I thought at first. I swore I had ordered them a while back. search for a bit but had to call it quits in order to clean up and see the kid a bit before bed.

After he went down, I made tonights mission "Search and find every D21 Part" night.
And it paid off. Below is a image of everythng I found. Some I had forgotten I even bought haha.

So lets start left to right... What we have is..

New Glass housing headlights for possible HID retrofit
Brown box under headlights holds everything I need for HID retro
    ES Tension rod bushings
    ES Upper control arm bushings
ES REAR LEAF AND SHACKLE BUSHINGS - Ye, I found them hiding under the workbench
New thermostat housing (mine is pitted pretty bad)
Hitachi somehting. I think its a Maf?
    New downstream 02 sensor
I believe thats a power steering hose
Under PS hose is a rear brake hardware kit for both sides
MOOG Front upper and lower balljoints
Hidden behind Moog BJ's is a new fuel filter lol
    Belltech drop spindles
And finally... Blue Hands Fab custom UCA's

Wow, thats a lot. I have so much work to do. not pictured but hanging above the garage is a new power steering hardline, front brake lines. I cant even.. need to get to work.

Been a while since I did any work to this truck. The kid loves to drive in it so much, he gets upset when it sits on the quick jacks too long. So I have still not figured out the drop leaf issue. I need to send Belltech measurements which I will do tonight. Hopefully they can figure out what went wrong.

Still need to do the ballpoints as well. There's a pretty solid clunking sound from front driver side. I need to inspect everything to find that.

One new, and really annoying issue that has come up is the strereo wiring. Back in January I replaced the 4 6 in speakers, and added a ghost box to use my phone as the radio via bluetooth. It works great, only if the wires move it shuts off. I assumed I wired it poorly so I took it apart TWICE, soldered and shrink tubed it all. Its secure for sure on the Ghost Box harness side. So I'm assuming the factory harness wires could be loose?

Also, there is a bad ground or some other issue preventing the right rear, and front left speakers from working. Because I want to redo some of the interior, I may just remove it all and rewire them all. I can do that with out totally immobilizing the truck.

I also started restoring the Bergs I purchased back in August. They are pretty rough on the inside with rust/brake dust.

I was going to pay to have them redone, but after looking over all of the wheels, the only actual damage to the set is this little ding on one of the wheels.

So instead what I decided to do was save the money and have the centers re anodized and Ill remove the crap from the barrels and polish them.

1st Round of 80 grit sand paper and WD40

One more round of that and I should get all of it, then its just a matter of working my way to like 1500 grit and then switching to the polishing wheels, compound and Dewalt Polisher.
