    Hi All,

I have been getting wet carpets during rainy season and I figured I would start by making sure all the drains were clear, clean cowl.. and replace my ratty weather stripping... i mean like pieces missing due to freezing kind of ratty. I have tried keeping everything clean and lube sprays but with no luck.

    My questions are:

    - What is the best weather stripping for this truck (are there better brands for cold weather areas)??
    - Where do I get the kits or am I better off purchasing a roll and cutting it myself?
    - Does anyone have a favourite "how too" video for this?

If your reading this thanks for taking the time!!

Best would be to replace with OEM Toyota weather seals specific to your truck. You could try looking up part numbers using the document in the following linked thread. Lowest cost option is to order online.

I've seen a few threads once upon a time of someone who did professional car detailing (or a car dealership, can't recall which) and they mentioned some kinds of coating/lubricant products for things like door and sunroof seals in cold climates. I don't know where I saw it or what the product name was, but I reckon if you search around a bit you can find more info. Might be worth a look for after you replace the seals to get the longest life out of the new ones.
