    My crappy company finally allowed me to get something else than their crappy windows mobile 6.5 phone. I can't wait for my Droid X to get to me in the mail this week! Welcome to 2011 for me!

    This thing is awesome. Got it yesterday, and spend the day figuring out the Verizon ROM. This afternoon I rooted it and installed a custom ROM.
    I love the whole thing :)

    Yea the Android operating system still has some bugs. The touch keyboard is also a PITA. Constant freezing and mistyping. iPhone works better but to each his own!

    Big upgrade from Windows based phone though!!

    I started using the Swype keyboard in my Liberty ROM (Droid X). It's awesome.
    As far as app updates, my version allows me to select 'auto update' per app so I'm not sure what you're talking about when it comes to update notifications.
