Does vehicle spec report show anything about being a TRD or having a locking rear diff?

    Hey all,

Recently I entered my VIN into Toyota’s website to learn a little more about my truck as I don’t really know for sure what trim level it is. Someone removed every badge and sticker off the truck.

My truck has the locking diff, 16” alloy wheels, bucket seats with center console, and power windows and locks. This all points to it being a TRD.

With that said, when I pull info on my truck from Toyota it looks like a base SR5 4x4. It’s showing steel 15” wheels, 4x4, and 60/40 bench seats.

I know the guy who owned my truck for the past 15 years and I have doubts the owner before him built a TRD clone shortly after buying the truck new.

For owners of TRD trucks that have pulled your vehicle spec report from Toyota does it say anything about being a TRD or locking rear diff?

I don’t think any of this really matters at this point I’m just curious.

It used to tell a more detailed report.
But Toyota changed the report, and it doesn’t show all the options the truck was equipped with any longer.

If you call your local dealer, and ask nicely, they can tell you what your truck was equipped with.
Or find a Toyota employee (on here) that is willing to run the vin for you.

With help from the community I did figure out I do have a factory spec’d TRD. The VIN report I’m looking at on Toyota’s site has some bad info regarding my truck I guess.
