I installed new speakers last week in my stock, non JBL 2010 Tacoma, but did not install the crossovers that came with the tweeters.. It sounds fine, but what risks am I running? The tweeters are
    Kicker 46CST204..
    Thanks in advance.

Crossovers filter out the low frequencies that the tweeter can't handle. Depends how you wired things up, but in general without the crossover you run the risk of damaging or blowing it out if you turn up the volume too far. Why not just wire up with the crossovers?

FYI - there is an audio subforum, lots more information to read there. Good luck.

Because I'm an idiot. Didn't know what they actually were. I replaced the existing tweeters and just spliced the wires figuring that whatever was needed for tweeters was already in line.
