Grille surround fitment

Hey guys, so unfortunately when my truck was being inspected a few weeks back it was lifted too close to the garage heater & melted my grille. I’ve got a new grille on the way but am wanting to buy the surround piece. I found an OEM one on eBay already color matched, says it fits 2017-2019, 53101-04040-B2. Since I’m not using the grille insert itself would that surround piece still work on my ‘20?

 

Yes, it will fit. Only difference is grill insert.

The surround fits all years, but not all grilles. Some grilles, particularly Pro and certain trims made after 2020, do not require the surround bezel.

Which grille did you get? Alternatively, you could buy on Amazon close to the delivery date of the new grille, and return it if it does not need it.

Edit, nevermind. I thought you meant the grille surround, not the painted upper grille assembly. Yes, that will also fit your 2020.

 

I got an aftermarket pro grille. It’s the same one as I have on my truck now, it came off my 2016. I assumed it would fit the surround piece since it’s fit both my 2016 & 2020 trucks, but wasn’t sure the surround piece would fit my truck.
