Starting to plan out my 2.5 gen headlight HID retrofit using some and wanted some input-I couldn't find any answers in other threads to my specific questions. I'll probably be using the Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0 projectors and all the other parts as well from TRS. I'm planning on sticking with using OEM housings with a BLHM after hearing the poor adjustability of the cheap aftermarket ones.

I'm new to posting on TW but have been stalking the forums for a few months now.

    1) Has anyone added white DRL C/U bars/tubes to their stock housings when doing a retrofit? They don't need to be switchbacks. I haven't seen any pictures from people besides the aftermarket housings that come with them. I'm not sure where to source them or even if its possible to mount them to the bezels inside the headlight. (I drew the concept onto this one below)

    2) Has anyone bought cheap aftermarket assemblies and swapped over just the clear lens to their OEM housings when doing a retrofit? Those of you that sell retrofits where do you source lenses? (I can't find new OEM lenses for sale without housings) My OEM lenses are a little cloudy/pitted even after a thorough wet sand and polish restoration (some on inside of lenses). Wondering if aftermarket lenses will fit properly and seal well into the OEM housings. Or am I better off just retrofitting aftermarket housings? My concern is lack of adjustability. Trying to find the most cost effective solution but also definitely want to do it right the first time.

Thanks in advance for the help!
