I went by the new engineering building at UMO today and saw a fleet of new Vectrax mills in there. Made me a little jealous, even though I barely know how to use one…

 

Looks good! I'm not much of a wood worker, but I recently bought a used lunchbox planer to fool around with. Our neighbors cut down a white pine recently, so I ripped a few small pieces out with my chainsaw and planed them down to make charcuterie boards. I only took a pic when I was harvesting... I have them strapped together to dry and hopefully not cup.


If nothing else, the shavings are great in the chicken run.

Mom used to use an old ham bone to make pea soup. I’d use a whole sleeve of saltines and all the pepper I could find to drown out the taste! I bet yours is better.

 

The ham bone soup I made had no peas in it so I'll agree.
