Oh nice! Once you get it, even if you hate the work and move on to something else, KEEP THE CDL! It's a great fallback in case bigger/better plans fall through.

You going class A? What endorsements?

That's the plan. Going to keep it forever! Yup I'm getting a Class A. No endorsements at the moment and I am testing in a manual. I mostly got it to be able to plow snow for the county. Could've gotten a B and still plowed but I'd been restricted on what I could tow.

If you're doing it, may as well get an A at minimum. I didn't do any endorsements either, but that was primarily because the only one that would have helped my job at the time was the hazmat. They abused the crap out of the guys with that though, so I didn't give them that ammo. In hindsight I wish I had gotten the tanker and hazmat endorsements. So many more options and better pay options as well.

That was another life, though. I keep my CDL active, but haven't used it to make a living in a bit over 4 years.

I can still get the endorsements down the road if I need/want to. Id 100% keep it active! If you let it lapse you'd have to go through a class and everything like I did!:annoyed:

Yeah, he blocked me on yootoob because I linked Dan's write ups to his videos. I just wanted to see if I could get him to blow a gasket. He did.

I mean, he whined and howled about "stolen work" while using a South Park name and character style, and a yootoob channel name ripped from a '90s sitcom. The flagrant hypocrisy was just too much.

This is true. Maybe after you've been working with it for a bit, see if you can get the job to pay to fees and such to get the endorsements.

I'd rather not spend $200 or so on endorsements that I'll never use. I guess it's not much in the long run but 200 bucks is 200 bucks! I just read its $86.50 just for Hazmat!

The pay bump you can get with that endorsement is significant, though. If you're willing to travel to get it, that is. Plus, I did suggest pitching it to see if your employer will pay for the endorsements so that you are a more capable driver for them.

Right now I don't want to get them unless I need them. If I need them for a good job I'd be happy to go through all the hoops to get them completed :)

I'll answer this the best that l can with the information that was able to find out.

We bought a half cubic metre of gravel. Tyhe guy with the back hoe filled up the bucket to about level and probably 3/4 of bucket emded up in the bed. We watched him unload it into my truck.
From various sources online, a cubic meter of gravel seems to weigh on average about 700kgs. Or about 1,540lbs.
Could be more. Or it could be a bit less. I am pretty sure we received more than half a cubic meter as it was definitely to be more than our previous purchases. The guy was being generous to us.

I know this isn't very accurate. But, l will say for sure that this is the most weight that l carried in my Tacoma.
I was on the bump stops. It was a short drive home though.

    Hope this helps.

"" Also, a cubic meter contains 1.3 cubic yards.
