Looking to upgrade my tonneau since the soft cover does not allow me to fold up all the way to the cab and occasionally I need to throw my sons bike in the back. Anyone have recommendations on a hard tri fold that can be folded up against the cab?

Just switched to Bakflip MX4, for same reason to have full bed use. Had oem hard before.

Bakflip owner here as well. Works well for what you're asking for.

I understand about the bed space. I had a hardcover on my previous taco so on this one I purchased a trifold. I can stand on it and totally remove it by myself and stick it in the back or in the bed. Temporarily. It was only less than half the price. Your call, a little inconvenience with trifold ($400) occasionally or the bakflip for >$1000. Your pocket

Lomax gets my vote. Tri folds but is able to removed in about 45 seconds for completely full bed use.

I love my Lomax but they also have one that folds up against the back glass.

I love mine. Easy installation and it's been my favorite cover I've ever had on any truck.

I'm selling a Leer Trilogy X2T for a short bed that I used for my first two years of ownership. Worked great for me, just got a cap for the extra packing space. Kept the bed relatively dry, folded up against the back of the cab well and came off super easy in a pinch if you wanted to go no cover for any reason. If you can find one of those I'd recommend it! I've got pictures of it on my posting on the 3rd gen BST thread if you're looking for pictures. Someone else just sold one too with some pictures, I'll try to find that thread and post it here.

Another vote for Lomax, easy quick install, I can remove in about 30 seconds easily by myself, can store in the back seat if needed. I like the removable function as you can still see out the back window for a little more visibility
