I recently had an issue with my passenger side outer wheel bearing it broke and i wonder are there different options for the 5 lug tacomas ? I bought a replacement at autozone and they just seem so cheaply made and dont seem likely to handle driving rough terrain. this is the second time this has happend.

No ....I'd just buy the best one you can......like a whole $13......A3.....

Its so small and then if that 30mm nut is little too tight or too loose you'll get premature wear....

Really you need to set that correct bearing drag......and then recheck it every 5K or so.....
but nobody does that.....videos out there out there.....

I just repack that bearing every 20k.....and I keep an extra inter (napa $30) and outer A3(zone $13)bearing race set.....
and extra inter seal on hand.....

Napa only makes the inner $30 inhouse......the outer small one they selll.......A3.......

These dont last nearly as long as the 4x4's.....but their whole compressed unit costs about 5 times as much too......and most home shops cant do 6 lugs.....

If you keep these up.....you'll never have to beat that inner race set out to replace em......
    that is a royal pain.....

i just got some bearings from autozone and was within the warranty time limit, ill ride on these for some time and upgrade in the 30k, on the driver side the inner bearing
has been there for 3 years since i bought the truck and have not had to change it so i will look up the brand and keep them in handy for the next time this happens because im certain the autozone duralast bearings will break. no i just need to replace a fabtech 3nich lift spindle because the threading on the knuckle is completely shot. thanks for the advice.

Yeah I try to buy the napa stuff when I can....that inner $30 one is kinda of pricey there....
but they have 15 and 20% off sells about every 4 or 5 weeks for a 4 or 5 day stretch.....

only autozone I do is the life time I know Im gonna use.....on 2nd starter from them....
but this time I was upgraded to a new one.....

That high $ turn lever is another......guaranteed to go out eventually.....no matter who makes it....
Door window controls.....doesnt matter who makes it.....might as well get the lifetime......same price as the oem one......ouch.....
